Chobham Manor – Olympic Legacy Bid Design

Chobham Manor is a development site situated in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, on the site where the temporary basketball arena was erected throughout the 2012 Olympic games. Working alongside Notting Hill Housing and United House, with HTA Architects, to put together the bid submission for the first Olympic Legacy Development site.

The proposals outlined a new residential quarter with mixed use elements along the main connecting street. The branding concept and illustrative approach reflected the proximity to the Velodrome, BMX track and mountain bike trail with an emphasis on family life and creating a legacy around the Olympic Park.

The submission requirements were particularly prescriptive, with set page limits across a suite of documents which were designed to fit within a A3 slip folder with easily accessible pullout booklets. The design concept made it accessible to illustrate each section, highlighting key themes throughout each document.
