Dean Gardens Bid Submission

Dean Gardens is a regeneration area in Ealing, I was asked to design the first stage of the architectural bid for Notting Hill Housing, to be submitted to Ealing council and its surrounding residents.

The brief asked for the document to be designed in a easily accessible way to communicate to the council and translate the proposals to the residents. I designed the document on an ad hoc basis with room for further development at the next stage if Notting Hill Housing were successful.

The main aspect of the archiectural build was centred around the communal gardens that connected the development. The bid was very text heavy, with standard questions and answers, so to ease the readers experience, I placed colourful divider pages with bright luscious garden imagery alongside poetic quotes referencing gardens from famous writers. This helped to break up the text and allow the user to guide their way through the document.
